Dear Ed and Tony,  Just wanted to thank you for your wonderful book ‘Wealth for Life’, which I have just finished reading and found inspirational.

The clear, easy-to-follow explanations made perfect sense even to someone like myself, who is not such a hot mathematician. I loved the real life stories – great to hear about ordinary Australians doing great things to secure their financial future – very encouraging and inspirational! We bought an investment property in 1999 then sold it in 2005 (oops!) but have now begun our journey down the investment path once again with the help of a terrific finance broker.

I would like to express my gratitude for the value, time and energy put into Small to Great. Earlier in the month I had commenced reading it after attending to some business at your Oatlands office, and between then and now I’ve read it several times over and requested Paul Vanderlight to send another copy for my father. There is an abundance of information which you have put in the book which will certainly provide immeasurable benefit to our company. In particular, by utilising concepts I’ve read in other business classics such as 7 Habits, your book has provided a great framework for further reference points for guidance as I grow the company.

Since commencing your book for the first time earlier this month, the knowledge gained has provided me with the confidence to implement the following in our company in the last 2 weeks:

• A clear purpose & vision, develop our mission statement and collaborate with staff to create some clear values and behaviours for our company culture
• A mutually rewarding bonus / incentive scheme for our field technicians
• A staff reward and recognition program which we have labelled the ‘Get Rewarded’ Program

It has also sown the seeds for some valuable initiatives to roll out in 2012.

I just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to Cindy Su for her outstanding customer focus recently and ask that she be nominated for service excellence as a result of our experience in setting up an Investment Hybrid Trust.

Cindy understood our situation by asking relevant questions and brought in the relevant people (Pablo) when needed to get an answer. Following on from that she also made a special effort to get the Deed stamped in record time as we were under a deadline to get bank accounts setup.
